LikeLocal In Siem Reap, Cambodia

Just after six on a Saturday morning, I find myself standing alone in Wat Bo Street, Siem Reap, Cambodia. The wind is howling hot air with a cool temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. Familiar faces pass as the hustle and bustle of the small tourist town prepares for the day. This is it… This is what I’ve always wanted… To tell the stories of Others.

LikeLocal In Pouk District, Siem Reap

It’s a beautiful Wednesday morning as we head to Pouk District for another LikeLocal Cambodia unique travel experience. The streets are bustling with locals coming and going as everyone prepares for the annual Khmer New Year.

Cambodia - the adventure that will last forever (hopefully)!

We always wanted to make sure our guests can discover these authentic events that are not orchestrated or designed for tourists. We aspire to make the integration into a local community swift and smooth. Understanding a culture deeply usually requires spending a significant amount of time living within it, immersing yourself in the day-to-day activities and routines, learning from the locals, and getting to know the people and their customs.

About Kingdom of Wonder aka Cambodia

The people of Cambodia were incredibly friendly and hospitable, and I was struck by their kindness and generosity. Everywhere I went, I was greeted with smiles and open arms, and I quickly realized that this was a place where I could truly feel at home.
