Create Your Art with Threads

Hello, dear guest. My name is Anna, and I am from Areni village. I have lived here for many years, and I have a family, children, and a beloved job. My family and I often discuss how we can restore, popularize, and spread the craft that we love most. That craft is carpet making, which holds a very special place in our culture. I believe our guests will also find it interesting to participate in the workshop, which will be led by a master who will teach participants the art of carpet making, presenting its history, types, and techniques.

During the workshop, our guests will learn about the process of creating traditional carpets, how to make various knots, and discover their own unique style in the decorative patterns. I will teach how to properly choose and prepare the materials required for carpet making, such as the threads, bindings, I will supervise each

participant’s work and offer advice on how to create different textures,  and intricate patterns.

Additionally, this workshop will not only focus on developing technical skills but will also

encourage the exchange of creative approaches and ideas, providing participants with the opportunity to create unique carpets based on their preferences and design concepts. By the end of the experience, participants will be able to finish their first carpet, resulting in a beautiful and  flawless piece that they can either use in their homes or gift to loved ones.
